David is known by even non-Christians for his greatest achievement, killing the giant Goliath, and for his greatest failure, his adulterous affair with Bathsheba. He was both a Spirit-filled man and a lustful man who deceived himself, rationalized his sin, and even committed murder. Yet David was called a man after God's heart. We are very much like David, sometimes walking close to God and sometimes very far away, so what can we learn from his life that will help us live more God-pleasing lives ourselves?
